Project overview
We are upgrading the gas pipes along Longcross Road and Accommodation Road to ensure you continue to receive a reliable gas supply for many more years to come. Our aim is to replace all the metallic mains and service pipes in these locations. This means that we will need to excavate holes in the ground to access the gas pipes in order to inspect and replace them.

Project updates
9 February - 16:45
This week the team has replaced 300m of the existing gas pipe between Lyne Mushroom Farm and Thorndale Farm. Next week they aim to replace a further 300m which will take them up to Fan Court Farm.
Additionally, Affinity Water will be working along Longcross Road from 14 February. This will be completed under a road closure and division route will be in place.
These projects have been planned to run concurrently in order to minimise disruption to local residents. Affinity Water will be contacting residents separately about their planned work.
2 February - 16:30
This week the team has completed work by the junction of Accommodation Road. This area will be reinstated and cleared on Monday morning.
Work was delayed slightly due to poor network pressures in the area.
The next phase to be replaced is a 150m section by the junction of Lyne Lane.
26 January - 11:15
Work began on Monday as planned and the team is currently working outside Old School Café on Longcross Road at the junction opposite Accommodation Road. This section of work is due to be completed and cleared by Friday 2 February.
Next week the team will be working under two-way temporary traffic signals Along Longcross Road from Lyne Lane to Fox Hills Farm. It is then anticipated that the team will progress towards Accommodation Road in 150m sections.
